Jonesing for some classic gaming goodness? Bethesda Softworks, publisher of the upcoming "Wolfenstein: The New Order", announced on its blog that "Wolfenstein 3D" is available on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

"Wolfenstein 3D" will cost $4.99 on PSN and 400 points on Xbox Live Arcade. The game will be available for PSN Europe at a later date. If you're a PC gamer, "Wolfenstein 3D" is also available on Steam for $4.99, though we've found the Steam version to be buggy.

"Wolfenstein 3D" was released in 1992 by id Software and essentially sparked the first-person shooter revolution, paving the way for other classics like the Doom, Quake, Unreal, Half-Life and other countless series.

What do you think of the "Wolfenstein 3D" addition to the Xbox Live Arcade and PSN libraries? Will you be getting it? Why or why not? Are you looking forward to "Wolfenstein: The New Order"? Sound off in the comments below.
