Cheryl Cole, the X Factor judge, has reportedly rented a mansion for £3,500-a-week in the suburb Hadley Wood, London.

The house is situated in the upmarket area of Hadley Wood, Enfield, and Cole has told friends that she is in love with the place, The Sun reported.

Hadley Wood lies on the Hertfordshire border and is a few miles from Wrotham Park, where Cheryl, 27, married her now ex-husband Ashley Cole, 30.

The Girls Aloud singer, who is also believed to be looking for a property in Los Angeles, is apparently using the North London home as a stop gap until she identifies a permanent residence.

She's renting for now because her life is so hectic she doesn't have the time to find somewhere to buy, said US dancer Derek Hough, a close friend to Cole. The house is handy for London, where most of her meetings take place.

Spice Girl Emma Bunton and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Niko Kranjcar are neighbors to Cole.

The move might have been prompted by the pressure from Cole's mother and ex-hubby Ashley, to stay in the UK and walk away from her desire of being a judge on the US version of The X Factor.
