UPDATE 12:04 p.m. EDT: Microsoft is streaming its Xbox live stream event from Gamescom 2013 to the Web after all, after Microsoft's Larry Hryb made statements to the contrary on his official Twitter account. Watch the Xbox Gamescom 2013 live stream here.

Microsoft is holding an event that it will live stream from Gamescom 2013. Want to watch it? That's cool, but you can only do so if you own an Xbox 360. If you happen to own an Xbox 360, then park yourself in front of it at 12:00 p.m. EDT, which is when the Microsoft Gamescom 2013 live stream is set to begin.

Microsoft's Larry Hryb tweeted the information out on his official Twitter account. Check out the tweets below.

To be fair, Microsoft isn't the only company that has pulled this kind of move. Apple has live streamed its event by limiting it to Apple devices only, and we don't approve of the move regardless of who does it. We figured we'd just get it out there so it didn't seem like we were jumping on an opportunity to rain on Microsoft's parade.

Will Microsoft flip on this policy, too, between now and 12:00 p.m. EDT? Stay tuned to find out.

What do you think of Microsoft's decision to stream their Gamescom 2013 live stream only to the Xbox 360? Sound off in the comments below.
