Yahoo and Hewlett-Packard have signed a deal to feature Yahoo services, including search, on the HP computers sold in the United States and European Markets.

Under the terms of the agreement, all of HP's consumer model computers will come equipped with a Yahoo and HP co-branded toolbar, a Yahoo start page and Yahoo set as the default search engine in Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7. The deal extends across HP's desktop and notebook lines.

This relationship is an important component of Yahoo!'s overall strategy to partner with leading global brands that will enable us to further extend our products and services to the world's community of Internet users, Dan Rosensweig said, chief operating officer of Yahoo.

The deal will go into effect immediately.
