He initially came back to Genoa City for work, but after he appears to flirt with a woman other than his wife, JT will reveal the truth about his love life on the Thursday, Dec. 21 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After coming home to investigate the mysterious transfer of funds from Victor’s (Eric Braden) account, JT (Thad Luckinbill) opted not to turn Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) in after learning what she had done. However, despite his investigation on the CBS soap being over, he is still sticking around town.

Young and the Restless
JT (Thad Luckinbill) reveals a big secret after turning on the charm with Abby (Melissa Ordway) on the Dec. 21, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

Now, after a night of drinks at the Club, JT will be catching up with Abby (Melissa Ordway), Sharon (Sharon Case) and Scott (Daniel Hall), when Abby mistakenly interprets an invitation to check out some of their old hangouts as JT hitting on her. After already being confronted over being the “other woman” in Sharon and Scott’s relationship, the idea that JT may be hitting on her will appall Abby, because she will take it to mean he wants her to be the “other woman” in his life too, since he is married to Mac. After she storms off, she will tell Victoria (Amelia Heinle) about the encounter, forcing her sister to check in on her ex-husband.

When Victoria goes to see him, JT will admit that he wasn’t actually trying to hit on Abby, but even if he had been, he wasn’t looking for some attention outside of his marriage. He will reveal to Victoria that he and Mac have actually separated, and that their marriage has been over for some time. He will also admit that she not only moved out, but she took their kids too, which is why he took the job in Genoa City. While he can’t be with her and their children together for the holidays, he can still be close to Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), his son with Victoria, by being where he is.

Feeling sorry for him, Victoria will decide to ask her ex to spend the holidays with her, and may even insist that he does so he isn’t alone. The invitation could mean the world to him, and it could also be the start of JT and Victoria potentially revisiting their romance down the road.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
