They're headed to court to fight Graham for the right to continue caring for their sick mother, but an unexpected surprise will rock the Abbott siblings to their core during the proceedings on the Wednesday, Jan. 10 episode of "The Young and the Restless."

Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland) are taking Graham (Max Shippee) to court on the CBS soap, after he took Dina (Marla Adams) from them and decided to once again take over when it came to her care. Though he has medical power of attorney, Dina's children also know he is after revenge on her for an indiscretion of the past, and that he wants her money for himself as a result. Because of that, they want to once again resume control of taking care of Dina while she battles Alzheimer's, even though their attempt to do so before didn't go as well as they'd hoped.

When the battle lands in the courtroom, all of this dirty laundry will of course be aired out for the judge, with Graham's scheme, as well as the incidents with Dina—which included stabbing Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), setting the Underground on fire and kidnapping Christian—all discussed. Dina, who won't be in the right state of mind and will once again assume Jack is actually John, will have an emotional outburst, and postponing the case will even be considered at one point.

However, the Abbotts will also come across some potential evidence from before Dina's condition got so bad, which could help them prove their case against Graham. If their evidence, which might indicate that Dina realized early on that she couldn't trust Graham, is admissible, it could be what helps them win.

However, Graham isn't about to give up with his own dirty tricks. He's already managed over the years to convince Dina he was her friend and pull the con that he was after revenge over her eyes. He's also managed to successfully manipulate her since she's been worse as well, and had her believing that staying with her children was the equivalent to being in a prison.

His newest trick will be the bombshell the Abbotts will be stunned by in ways they never imagined. When Graham takes the stand, he will argue that all of this doesn't matter, because he is legally Dina's next of kin—as her husband.

"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
