This is the first year that Apple is including the U.S. in its “12 Days of Gifts” event. In previous years, the Apple giveaway event was available only to iTunes and iOS users in Europe, Canada and Japan.
The "12 Days of Gifts" giveaway features free iOS apps, games iTunes music, iBooks, television shows and more each day from Dec. 26 until Jan. 6.

For iTunes users who don’t have an iOS device or are running a version older than iOS 7, there’s still hope. As long as you have iTunes, you can still purchase the gift of the day by navigating to the respective content page in the iTunes Store or App Store.
