If Reddit claims are anything to go by, two lucky individuals have received their 12.9-inch M1 chip powered iPad Pro, prior to Apple's May 21 official launch.

The thrilled customers -- PeterDragon50 and EddieBombay -- shared their excitement about receiving their 12.9-inch M1 chip powered iPad Pro ahead of Apple’s official date of release via Reddit on Sunday, 9to5 Mac reported.

PeterDragon50 said he placed his order through the retail chain Nebraska Furniture Mart. He added that it was during the pre-order schedule by the end of April.

The store told him that the product will be available from June 4 to July 8. Yet on May 15, Nebraska Furniture Mart informed him that his order was ready for pick up.

Replying to the same thread, EddieBombay said he also got his 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro. However, he did not add any information about his newly purchased device. Instead, he said he loves his new Apple device but did not think of posting on the internet assuming that it was against the rule.

PeterDragon50 later posted another update showing the results his new 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro acquired during a benchmark test. The results revealed that the new high-end device performs way faster than its predecessor released in 2020.

Recent reports claimed that the upcoming 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro performs 50% faster than the previous generation of iPad Pro.

The lucky customer also shared two videos showcasing his new M1-powered 12-inch iPad Pro’s performance. The video showed how the mini-LED displays and the 1600 nits brightness peak added life to HDR contents played.

He said he found the Liquid Retina XDR Display and the new mini-LED impressive. He added that the “deep blacks and colors are definitely up to the Apple quality."

Apple customers PeterDragon50 and EddieBombay are not the only ones experiencing their 12.9-inch M1 iPad Pro coming earlier than expected. MacRumors reported that some customers who placed orders on April 30 had their order status indicator changed to “Shipping” instead of the expected “Preparing to Ship” status.
