A Utah man, who admitted to having sex with an 11-year-old girl, was charged with second-degree felony enticing of a minor and obstruction of justice. According to local reports Thursday, the friends of a young girl reported to their school's assistant principal about a "relationship" the girl had with the 20-year-old.

Davis County Sheriff's Office was informed about the incident by the assistant principal of an elementary school where the girl studied. It was reported that the girl had told her friends about a relationship she had with an adult male, later identified as Brycen Gibben Hall.

Local media reported that the child was reluctant to talk about the details of her relationship with Hall and she only admitted that the man texted her to request sexual acts and inappropriate photographs of her.

During investigation, law enforcement officers conducted a search of the child’s cell phone and found text message conversations between her and Hall. In one of the messages, Hall told the girl she must not worry about getting pregnant as he has condoms.

During an interview, Hall acknowledged he had contact with the girl in the fall of 2018. He also said he knew the girl was a minor aged 11 years old. Hall also stated he and the girl sent photographs to one another, including a nude photo of her.

Hall also admitted having sexual intercourse with the minor girl once. He said he deleted a social media application that he used to communicate with her.

Investigators found that Hall recently deleted most of the contents from his phone. In some of the messages, the girl expressed her romantic feelings for him.

A warrant for Hall's arrest was signed on March 26, but he was yet to be booked into jail. A background check conducted by police found no criminal history in Utah.

In another incident, a 48-year-old Florida man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for traveling to Walton County to meet with a minor for sex. Trenton Patrick Hooks was convicted on Dec. 13, 2018, of traveling to meet a minor to engage in sexual conduct with the consent of a parent. Hooks was identified by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office during an undercover operation known as “Paladin Shield.” The operation targeted people who use the internet to connect with minors.
