24 Hour Fitness Gym Closings 2020: Which 134 Locations Are Closing?

As 24 Hour Fitness filed for bankruptcy protection on Monday, the company said that it would be closing over 100 gyms that were out of date or in close proximity to another location as part of the restructuring process.

24 Hour Fitness is working to reopen its remaining locations that were temporarily closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The COVID-19 crisis caused the fitness chain to file for bankruptcy, as it said in a statement on its website that it would have been able to avoid Chapter 11 if the coronavirus did not impact its business.

With over 100 locations closing by the end of 2020, 24 Hour Fitness is offering a series of perks to its members to stay with the gym during the restructuring process, including free 90-day friend and family pass and one-month membership credit. Members are also able to access any 24 Hour Fitness gym throughout 2020 regardless of their membership level.
