Cincinnati police are looking for a missing 3-year-old boy after his mother's body was discovered Saturday.

The police received a report of a body found near the Purple People Bridge over the Ohio River at around 3:15 a.m., according to a press release. The officials identified the victim as 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore who had been repeatedly stabbed to death.

The victim's son, Nylo Lattimore, has been missing from their home in Walnut Hill since Dec. 4, the investigators said. The circumstances behind the boy's disappearance remain unknown. The police described Nylo as a boy with black hair and brown eyes.

Cincinnati police and divers with the Hamilton County Police Association on Sunday searched for the missing boy in the area where his mother's body was found. The family members have identified a stroller that belonged to the missing boy in the area on Sunday.

The police arrested Lattimore's boyfriend Desean Brown, 21, on the charge of murder on the same night her body was recovered, reported local news outlet WLWT.

Lattimore was stabbed several times with an edged weapon at an apartment on Melrose Avenue on Dec. 11, according to the court affidavit. The investigators cited physical evidence, video evidence and witness statements in the charging documents against Brown.

"My sister was a sweet and quiet girl," Monique Ross, Lattimore's sister, told the local news outlet The Enquirer. "Our hearts are broken. (We) hope they find Nylo safe, so we can bring him home," she added. Ross said her sister was preparing to start school and never went anywhere without her son.

"It's unspeakable. We have a little boy who's missing, and, on top of that, that little boy no longer has a mother," one of Lattimore’s neighbors said as per Local 12.

Earlier this year, Brown was also charged in Hamilton County for obstructing official business and falsification. According to Montgomery County Court records, he was convicted of assault in January and was given probation of 5 years.

Brown was in court Monday and is ordered to be held on a $1 million bond.
