Princess Charlotte attended her first day of preschool on Monday at the Willcocks Nursery School and just like the average mother, Kate Middleton was on-hand to snap adorable photos of her daughter in her first-day-of-school outfit.

Kensington Palace posted to social media the two photos Middleton took of Princess Charlotte before she headed off to school, giving everyone a glimpse into the Duchess of Cambridge’s photography skills. These new pictures are only the latest pieces of evidence that Middleton is a knowledgable photographer, as the mother-of-two has taken quite a few portraits of her children in the past.

She was actually the one who took the first four official photos of Princess Charlotte, which were of her being held by her brother, Prince George, in 2015.

“We’re delighted to share the first photo of Prince George with his little sister Princess Charlotte,” Kensington Palace captioned the June 2015 photos on Instagram. "#WelcomeToTheFamily This photograph is the first of four official photographs being released today, taken by The Duchess of Cambridge in mid-May.”

The Duchess only continued to take professional quality photos of her children, releasing solo baby Princess Charlotte pictures later that year, featuring the young child in a patterned dress, with a pink sweater and pink tights.

In January 2016, two years before her daughter went off to preschool, Middleton took photos of Prince George on his first day of nursery school at the Westacre Montessori School.

“Prince George arrives for his first day at Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk earlier today,” Kensington Palace wrote along with the photos. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released two photographs to mark the occasion. They show Prince George standing in front of the mural on the outside of the nursery building.”

Then, leading up to the Princess’ first birthday, new photos were shared in May 2016 of the little girl in an all-pink outfit — dress, sweater, tights and hair clip — playing with different toys, including a pretend lawn mower.

The royal Instagram account shared more photos that same day from another time Middleton had taken pictures of her daughter, but these ones had Princess Charlotte switching out a pink outfit for a blue one.

Clearly it wasn’t only fans of the royal family who enjoyed these photos and appreciated Middleton’s photography, as The Royal Photographic Society awarded her with an Honorary Membership to their organization at the start of 2017. With these new Princess Charlotte photos, it’s apparent that her skills continue to improve.
