A$AP Rocky is grateful to have his girlfriend Rihanna's support for his new documentary.

Ahead of "Stockholm Syndrome's" premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York Sunday, Rocky spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the film. Aside from Rihanna, the doc featured cameos from a number of celebrity pals including Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell and Tyler the Creator.

Talking about Rihanna's appearance in the documentary, Rocky said it was "important having that support in real life, you know?"

"It's amazing and I'm honestly truly blessed, for real," the 32-year-old rapper told ET of the "Umbrella" hitmaker, whom he referred to as the "love of my life" in his interview with GQ in May.

Rocky's "Stockholm Syndrome" follows his rise to fame, high-profile legal troubles which landed him in a Swedish prison and more. The artist teased that "nothing is off-limits" when it comes to what the film will show about his life.

"I think making a documentary is all about vulnerability," he explained. "The documentary is all about showing honesty, authenticity, purity."

The "Fashion Killa" rapper found it important to explore the nuances of his career and life, including his imprisonment, in an objective way.

"I just wanted to tell my story without really complaining or without, you know, seeming like a victim, or like I wanted a pity party or what not," Rocky said. "So, here it is."

The documentary marks his return to professional life after more than a year of quarantines and lockdowns. Rocky also shared his plans for his career in the coming year.

"What's next for me was what I was doing before I went to prison," he said. "Me and the prettiest muthaf--ker ever, we breaking headlines and making history with creativity."

Rihanna and Rocky spent Christmas together with her family in her native Barbados. An unnamed insider previously told Entertainment Tonight that spending the holidays together was "an obvious step" for them.

"They've known each other for so long as friends and in a work setting, which makes it so easy for them to get along, travel together and be involved in each other’s lives to the full extent," the source told ET. "They always have such a good time together and definitely seem in love."
