Aaron Rodgers revealed he was a little sore but is getting better after featuring Sunday in a 29-29 tie against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers injured his knee during Week 1 against the Chicago Bears but was able to return to the game in the second half to inspire a remarkable 24-23 comeback win for the Green Bay Packers.

He revealed afterward he was going to play against the Vikings the following week, but there were plenty of injury concerns leading up to the game with head coach Mike McCarthy unsure of his participation.

In the end, Rodgers was cleared for the game as he wore a large brace on his left knee.

However, despite the Packers leading 20-7 at one point, the quarterback wasn't able to help his side to a win as the Vikings came back in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 29-29. The Packers may have even lost during overtime if not for Minnesota kicker Daniel Carlson missing a field goal.

Rodgers finished the game with one touchdown pass and 30-of-42 passing for 281 yards, but was understandably disappointed with the tie which he felt was more like a loss.

"We got bailed out by them missing a field goal there," Rodgers told FOX Sports after the game. "But you know it's disappointing. Offensively, we had a lot of opportunities. We're kicking a bunch of damn field goals into the red zone. That's not how you win games against really good teams so it's a good football team. It's nice not to have an L but a tie doesn't feel much better."

When asked how he felt physically, Rodgers added he was feeling okay and that he would get better. In a separate interview, the 34-year-old explained more in detail about how he felt after the game.

"I’m pretty sore right now, sore in some other spots too so that’s taken away some of the knee pain," Rodgers explained. "I felt good about my rehab this week. The guys in the training room do a fantastic job, got me ready to play."

"I knew the adrenaline would kick in but I feel good that I managed to make it through the game. In my mind, I was playing all week but I needed to feel good yesterday. We fitted some braces and picked one that felt the best. I’m taking a lot of risks at my age, every time I step on the field, but there’s no greater feeling than being out there with the guys. That trumps everything. As long as I can move in the circle, today I was actually feeling a lot better."

Sunday's tie sees both the Packers and Vikings top the NFC North standings with a 1-0-1 record. The Packers will play the Washington Redskins next while the Vikings take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.
