ABC just came up with a unique way to prepare fans for the upcoming 300th episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, the network has decided to launch a six-part web series called “Grey’s Anatomy: Post-Op” in the weeks leading up to the Nov. 9 episode. The web series will be hosted by Gordon James, who plays the role of Nurse Gregory in the series.

Cast members, special guests, writers, producers and crew members of “Grey’s Anatomy” will be appearing in the web series. They will also look back at the most memorable events and scenes that took place in the series for over a decade. Behind the scene footages from the past 13 seasons will also be featured in the web series.

“Grey’s Anatomy: Post-Op” will go live on Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. EDT on ABC’s official website, as well as the ABC app.

Meanwhile, ABC will also be releasing a spinoff to “Grey’s Anatomy,” which will center on a group of Seattle firefighters. Prior to the official premiere, the characters that will be a featured in the spinoff will first be seen working with the characters from “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 14.

Last month, it was confirmed that “Grey’s Anatomy” regular Jason George will be leaving the series to join the upcoming spinoff. While speaking with TV Line, George said that he still doesn’t know how Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will react when she finds out that her husband, Ben (George), will be leaving the hospital.

But the actor is confident that his character and Bailey would get to reunite in the near future in a possible crossover. “I think kind of along the lines of what happened with ‘Private Practice’ and ‘Grey’s,’” he said. And if it were up to the actor, he wants to see the couple talking about how their days went while at home.

As of late, the official title for the “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff hasn’t been announced. Other details with regards to casting and the official premiere date are also being kept under wraps. But ABC already confirmed that the spinoff will be released sometime mid-season.
