Actor Jussie Smollett is being held in a jail psychiatric ward, according to an Instagram video that his brother posted Saturday.

"So, Jussie is currently in a psych ward at Cook County Jail. What's very concerning is there was a note attached to his paperwork today and put on the front of his jail cell saying that he's at risk of self-harm," Jocqui Smollett said in the video.

"He is very stable. He is very strong. He is very healthy and ready to take on the challenge that has ultimately been put up against him," Jocqui Smollett said.

Despite Smollet being considered a risk for self-harm, Jocqui Smollett ensured in the video that his brother is not at risk of harming himself. He also went on to explain that his brother is “innocent,” and thanked his followers for the support as they try to prove his case.

Smollett, 39, was found guilty of five of the six charges against him, including felony disorderly conduct. The actor falsely reported in 2019 that he was the victim of a brutal hate crime by Trump supporters.

Jussie Smollett, who is gay and Black, claimed that two men in Chicago wearing MAGA hats punched him, kicked him, used racist and homophobic slurs, threw a chemical in his face, and wrapped a noose around his neck. One of Jussie Smollett's alleged attackers testified that the actor requested to be beaten up.

Authorities believe that Jussie Smollett staged the crime to get more attention for his acting career.

Jussie Smollett has maintained his innocence.
