Airbus SAS has booked a $7.5 billion order from Singapore Airlines for 25 planes, including five A380 superjumbos.

The order, which Singapore Airlines announced Wednesday, includes 20 A350 jets that will begin to be delivered to the Asian company in 2017.

Singapore Airlines, which currently flies 19 superjumbos, also announced that it will end its nonstop flights between Singapore and Los Angeles and Newark, N.J., the latter of which -- a 19-hour flight -- is the world's longest nonstop commercial flight, Bloomberg News said.
