  • Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez decided to give their love another chance after an all-night heart-to-heart talk, a report says
  • The couple also spent the weekend together in the Dominican Republic
  • Insiders said Lopez and Rodriguez decided to "try and work things through"

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reconciled after a brief split last week, according to a report.

The couple made headlines last week after multiple outlets reported that they had called off their engagement, with Rodriguez's affair rumors with Madison LeCroy reportedly having been the last straw for the singer. However, Lopez and the former MLB star promptly released a statement saying the reports were "inaccurate" and that they were "working through some things."

Now, unnamed sources told Page Six that Rodriguez and Lopez did decide to cancel their wedding and end their four-year relationship on Friday but made up just hours later. They reportedly reconciled after having an all-night heart-to-heart talk and spent the weekend together after A-Rod flew to the Dominican Republic.

"They had a great couple days in the DR," the insider told the outlet. "They continue to work through things. That’s the status quo right now. They’re together."

The former New York Yankee jetted off Sunday to the Dominican Republic, where she has been filming her new movie, "Shotgun Wedding." Since then, photos of her greeting him with a kiss circulated online.

"Whatever happened on Friday, they since spoke through the night, have seen each other, and are working things out — as of today they’re together," another anonymous source "familiar with the couple" told Page Six. "That’s where they are today. Whatever bump in the road, they decided that they were going to try and work things through."

Several outlets reported last week that Lopez and Rodriguez — who got engaged in March 2019 — had been experiencing relationship issues weeks prior to their supposed split.

"The last time they had seen each other was March 1. They haven’t seen each other since then," a source told Us Weekly. "There have been issues in their relationship for a while now."

Another unnamed insider earlier told Page Six that Lopez kept up the planning and preparation for her and Rodriguez's wedding even when their relationship was on the rocks.

"There were issues between them, but she was still sitting for fittings for [her wedding] dress last week," the source said.

Lopez and Rodriguez had been forced to cancel their wedding twice due to the pandemic, but they reportedly hope to finally tie the knot this year.
