Alpine took the number one spot in this year's list of the nation's most expensive zip codes according to Forbes.

The average home in the area carries a price tag of a cool $4.14 million.

Atherton, Calif. (zip code 94027) was the second most expensive, with a median asking price for homes of $3.85 million, followed by New York City's West Village (zip code 10014) with a$3.5 million median asking price.
