Liz (Denis O'Hare) and Iris (Kathy Bates) will have trouble controlling the unruly ghosts of Hotel Cortez in the Season 5 finale of "American Horror Story." FX

“American Horror Story: Hotel” is closing its doors next Wednesday – but not before taking even more lives. The synopsis for the Season 5 finale, episode 12, has been released, and it promises a bloody good ending for those that reside at Hotel Cortez.

Episode 12 is titled “Be Our Guest.” But those considering booking a room at the Los Angeles establishment should think twice before giving their credit card information.

“What is that pungent odor?” a guest asks in the promo video.

The smell is the least of the Hotel’s problems – because the ghosts haunting the halls are killing all the guests.

According to the synopsis for the “Hotel” finale, Liz Taylor (Denis O’Hare) and Iris (Kathy Bates) are now in charge of the Cortez and are trying to “oversee a new era.” The promo video teases that they want big stars to stay overnight. But no one is going to stay over if every person that checks in doesn’t check out.

Fortunately it looks like James March (Evan Peters) is willing to lend the two a hand.

“The killing must stop,” he bellows in the promo.

Will the ghostly occupants listen to the former owner? That remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – John (Wes Bentley) and Alex (Chloë Sevigny) are not adjusting to life outside of the Cortez well.
