“American Horror Story” fans are tired of waiting for a “Coven” promo poster! The hit FX mini-series is set to begin filming this summer for its October premiere, and impatient viewers took it upon themselves to begin making the teaser art.

The fan-art began before season three of “American Horror Story” was officially titled “Coven,” but since the announcement fans have gone into Photoshop overdrive. Very little information on the highly anticipated new season has been leaked, leading artists to use their own creative twist for what’s in store.

Setting

“We’re contemplating shooting it in a place in the country where true horror has been,” co-creator Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly in January. “Coven” will definitely be about witchcraft in modern day, but in usual “American Horror Story” fashion will feature flashbacks to another time. Set to take place in multiple locations throughout the season, one confirmed filming spot is New Orleans.

Young Love

Get ready for some “evil glamour.” One of the things that Murphy revealed that he missed about season two was a youth story. “I really loved having that Romeo and Juliet youth story with Violet and Tate,” he explained of the season one characters. “I want something like that again and we’re doing something like that in the third season.”

Returning Stars

“American Horror Story” may be telling a different tale every season, but that doesn’t mean the cast is completely different. Returning cast members include: Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe.

Newcomers

Viewers will see a couple new faces in season three. Joining “Coven” this season is: Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates.

Currently Casting

“American Horror Story” is currently still casting for “Coven.” So far the cast is predominantly women, but the series is looking for three men: a handsome, blue-collar husband named Hank, a “male college student who’s a jerk,” and a “charming Asian doctor named David Zhong.”
