When “American Horror Story: 1984” returns, viewers will see a fight to the death as the final battle takes place at Camp Redwood. In episode 8, “Rest in Pieces,” Margaret’s big event begins to fall apart after the band that is scheduled to perform is murdered.

“A deadly trio emerges, hell-bent on unleashing a new era at Camp Redwood,” the “American Horror Story” Season 9 synopsis teases. In the FX promo video, Mr. Jingles (John Carroll Lynch) tells Richard (Zach Villa) that he’s going to kill him at Camp Redwood.

In the previous episode, Mr. Jingles returned to Camp Redwood to kill Richard. However, the ghosts on the campgrounds warned him about a lady in white, who has been terrorizing the rest of the spirits.

Mr. Jingles eventually realized the woman was his mother, Lavinia (Lily Rabe), who he killed in the 1940s. During that time, Mr. Jingles was called Benjamin and was in charge of watching his little brother, Bobby. However, he was too busy spying on the camp counselors to see his brother jump in the lake and get hit by a motorboat.

Bobby’s death caused their mother to kill all of the counselors. She tried to kill Benjamin, but he saved himself by killing her first. Fast forward to 1989, Mr. Jingles makes peace with his mother, who encourages him to kill himself. Since the Night Slasher has a deal with the devil, Mr. Jingles would have to be an invulnerable ghost to win a fight against.

While it appears Mr. Jingles and Richard will be members of the deadly trio, it is unclear who will fill the final spot. In the FX promo video, Margaret (Leslie Grossman) is furious when she learns the band, Kajagoogoo has been murdered before their performance. Margaret has killed before and could be triggered to kill again if her plans for the concert fall apart. Will Margaret, Richard, and Jingles be responsible for another deadly summer at Camp Redwood?

“Former counselors desperately try to keep history from repeating itself,” the “Rest in Pieces,” synopsis says. Although Montana (Billie Lourd) and Xavier (Cody Fern) were having a blast killing anyone who walked on to the campground, will past inhabitants like Brooke (Emma Roberts) and Donna (Angelica Ross) finally put an end to the bloodshed?

“American Horror Story: 1984” episode 8 will air Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
