One of the most talented musicians of this generation, Amy Winehouse, was inducted into the Music Walk Of Fame recently with a special plaque made of metal and a stone with her name engraved on it to celebrate her career.

According to the organization, the singer, who passed away in 2011, was honored with a stone on a new monument that has been built recently in the town of Camden, a place that was close to Winehouse’s heart. The ceremony was attended by her parents, Janis and Mitch Winehouse, who looked pretty emotional while receiving the honor.

Speaking about the honor, Janis noted that it is one of the most beautiful moments of her life and the recognition is truly massive for all of them. Meanwhile, the “Rehab” hitmaker’s dad felt that the honor is an indication that Amy might not be present physically, but she will always be with them “spiritually.”

Speaking with the BBC, Mitch also revealed how much his daughter loved Camden and further added that it was lovely to see Winehouse getting the honor in her favorite town in North London. Amy’s father also revealed that they have really big plans for the celebration of her legacy in the coming months and will be coming out with a few projects with the help of the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

“I cannot really elaborate, but we have got a movie and we have got a Broadway show. It is all going to be announced in the near future,” Mitch said.

The acclaimed singer produced three studio albums during her career. In 2003, she released her first album named “Frank.” The second album, “Back To Black,” was out in 2006 while her third and last album named “Lioness: Hidden Treasures” came out in 2011. The musician was nominated for six Grammys in 2008 for “Back To Black” and won five awards on the same night. Her song “Rehab” got three awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

In 2015, a documentary based on the singer’s life was released and received universal acclaim. The documentary went on to win the Best Documentary accolade at the Academy Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, BAFTAs, and National Board Of Review.

Apart from Winehouse, Madness and Soul II Soul were honored with a recognition on the Music Walk Of Fame. Formed in 1976, Madness is an English band that started its musical journey in Camden. The band currently consists of six active members – Chris Foreman (Guitar), Mike Barson (Keyboard and Piano), Lee Thompson (Saxophone), Graham McPherson (Lead Vocals), Dan Woodgate (Drums), and Mark Bedford (Bass Guitar).
