Anderson Cooper's son, Wyatt, turned 1 year old on Tuesday and he celebrated the milestoone on social media.

The CNN anchor commemorated his child's first birthday by sharing adorable birthday pictures on Instagram. He accompanied the post with a short caption expressing his love for his son.

"Today is Wyatt’s first birthday," Cooper wrote. "I can’t believe it has already been a year. He is sweet and funny, happy and kind, and I love him more than I ever thought possible."

In the first picture, Wyatt is all smiles at the camera while holding a red balloon in his right hand. In the second snap, he is looking away while sitting comfortably on a chair wearing a light blue onesie.

Cooper's post for his son received several comments from his celebrity followers and fans. Many of them praised Wyatt for being adorable and greeted him on his birthday.

"Happy birthday Wyatt," Vladimir Duthiers wrote.

"The cutest. Happy birthday, little guy! And happy one year of fatherhood, Anderson!!" Steven Romo added.

"Sending all the blessings on this day!" Toyin Ojih Odutola commented.

"How could you not!? What a punim on that guy," Max Mutchnick added with a red heart emoji.

"He’s glorious and looks like Gloria," Wendy Goodman wrote referring to Cooper's late mom, Gloria Vanderbilt.

Cooper announced the arrival of his baby in April 2020. He shared snaps of him holding and kissing his little one. He accompanied it with a lengthy caption expressing his joy for becoming a first-time dad.

"I want to share with you some joyful news. On Monday, I became a father," he wrote at the time. "This is Wyatt Cooper. He is three days old. He is named after my father, who died when I was ten. I hope I can be as good a dad as he was. My son's middle name is Morgan. It's a family name on my mom's side."

Cooper admitted he never thought he would be a parent growing up as a gay kid, so he thanked everyone who helped him make it possible.

Cooper co-parents Wyatt with his ex-boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani. They still live together at his home. However, he made it clear that there are no chances for them to get back together but praised Maisani for being a great co-parent.

"We actually still live in the same house because we get along really well," he said. "It's weird, but it works out."
