Android 9 Pie’s update capable devices list is getting longer as the Android 10 launch approaches. Here is an update on the most recent list of Android Pie updated devices as well everything you need to know.

Android 9 Pie may have been rolling out for a year now since it was released in August last year, however, the length of its existence does not affect its impact to the public.

Essential was the very first company to receive an Android 9 Pie update the same day that the operating system was released. Days later, the company rolled out Android Pie on Telus variants.

Days after the Android 9 Pie launch, Sony announced that nine of its Sony Experia X series are receiving an update to the said OS. In November, the company’s Z series updated to Android 9 Pie along with the October security patch.

Vivo India received the Android 9 Pie update in April after a series of updates that started in December last year. Huawei responded positively as well with the latest of their devices, Moto Z2 Force receiving an update last July.

On May, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T were updated to Android 9 Pie worldwide along with April 2019 Android security patch. OnePlus 3, 3T and the older versions were the first ones updated to the latest OS in August last year.

Nokia 3 and Nokia 1 are the latest among the Nokia family to receive the Android 9 Pie update. Nokia 7 was the first among their family to meet the Android 9 Pie update that also brought ARcore to the device.

July was the season for the unlocked Moto G6 in the US to receive the Android 9 Pie update in the US. The OS update landed first in the Motorola Z series days after Pie was launched.

The Android 9 Pie update rolled out in the market with key features that kept it rocking the market for almost a year now. The OS update had an improved notification and do not disturb mode.

The Android 9 Pie update brought in the adaptive brightness and battery. It had optional dark and light themes, digital wellbeing, better UI for settings, a redesigned app overview screen as well as the gesture navigation.
