After all of its developments in adding the 5G technology for the iPhones, Apple could make its own 5G iPhone by 2023. The company experienced many setbacks with its 5G parts but now currently has the means to make its own components for the technology. However, the development may take time hence almost half a decade wait.

As for the next two years, Apple will rely on Qualcomm for the upcoming iPhones’ 5G parts. This decision only happened after both companies squabbled over legal issues earlier this year.

Apple is known to make its own parts or improve imported parts for its devices to deliver a great device to its fans. Relying on Qualcomm may only be temporary while the company is working on other projects and making its own 5G components.

Intel has recently sold its modem development resources to Apple after Intel stopped making modems last Spring. While Apple now has the resources to make its own modem, the company has no solid experience in making one up from scratch. Apple is known to work with other companies to start making a component and the company will improve it in house.

Due to Apple’s lack of experience with the 5G technology and design to make its devices better than the competition, the timeline for the fully Apple-made iPhone with its in-house 5G technology is slated for 2022 or 2023.

As of now, the company is experiencing major success with the iPhone 11. Apple is enjoying increased sales with the product which has further improved the company’s stock value and placed Apple holding a huge part of smartphone sales in the U.S. The success of the iPhone 11 makes it a great startup to see the next iPhones to improve in quality in the coming years.

On the other hand, Apple is also investing on services and subscriptions throughout the whole 2019. Many of Apple’s new services extend from providing entertainment media such as video, music, and podcasts up to its own credit card service, the Apple Card. For now, fans will have to wait if Apple will hae a better 5G iPhone in the upcoming years prior 2023.
