Rumors have it that the Apple iPad Pro 2021 will be a powerful device. Still, if the latest information from a tech journalist is to go by, it appears that it could be ridiculously powerful with a chipset that could allow it to compete with the M1-powered Macs.

The latest information came from Bloomberg Technology's official YouTube channel courtesy of Mark Gurman via Phone Arena, Gurman, who has been giving the industry accurate information about Apple's upcoming products and events, the upcoming iPad Pro 2021 will house a new processor "on par" with Apple's M1 chip. It could mean that the upcoming device could feature a chipset more powerful than the A14 Bionic chip on the iPhone 12 series.

Additionally, Gurman mentioned that the bigger iPad Pro 2021 model will feature a mini-LED display, making the said model quite thicker. With the mini-LED display, the upcoming device is anticipated to sport a brighter screen and a much better contrast ratio. In terms of design, the next generation of iPad Pro will have the same design as the current models.

According to Gurman, fans can expect the said product's announcement in the "coming months."

Earlier rumors suggested that it might launch in the first half of 2021 and possibly as early as March. The Cupertino-based tech giant is believed to be holding an event March 16. At the said event, the company might launch the newly redesigned Apple AirPods and the iPad Pro 2021.

Gurman also mentioned that a thinner, entry-level iPad would arrive sometime this year. He also noted that the upcoming iPhone 13 series might feature an in-screen fingerprint. It is worth noting that while Gurman is a reliable insider and his information is always accurate, these details are not yet official. Fans are advised to temper their expectations and take these details with a pinch of salt.
