Apple is said to be working on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones that are expected to arrive with single-lens cameras. However, certain iPhone 7 Plus models are now rumored to come with dual-camera setup, and are expected to be available with “iPhone Pro” moniker.

According to Mac Rumors that cites information from MyDrivers, the Apple iPhone 7 Plus with dual-camera lens will be launched as “iPhone Pro.” In the recent past, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst from KGI Securities, has predicted that Apple may release two editions of the iPhone 7 Plus out of which one will feature a regular single-lens camera and the other would come with dual-lens camera.

Both the models will be sold alongside the iPhone 7 that is also expected to feature single-lens camera. Rumors suggest that iPhone Pro will distinguish itself from the iPhone 7 Plus not only through the dual-camera setup but also with higher-end specs.

MyDrivers is a Chinese source that has been consistently revealing information on the iPhone 7 and the upcoming iPhone SE. The Cupertino company has been using the same number-based naming for its iPhones since 2008 when it had launched the iPhone 3G.

Hence, the iPhone Pro moniker seems unique, but the 4-inch iPhone that is expected to get announced on March 21 is also rumored to arrive with a distinctive name of iPhone SE (Special Edition). Moreover, the rumored iPad Air 3 is also speculated to launch as 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

The Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones are expected to get unveiled in September this year. Early speculations indicate that both devices will not be featuring a headphone jack. Both iPhone 7 variants are expected to come with water-resistant chassis that will sport a newer design that will be devoid of protruding cameras and rear antenna lines.
