“Dancing With the Stars” Season 24 contestant Simon Biles and judge Carrie Ann Inaba have finally cleared the air about their rumored feud after last week’s episode.

On Monday night, Inaba commented on Biles’ performance and said that the professional gymnast should learn how to show her emotions and become more vulnerable. At the time, Biles replied to Inaba, saying, “Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.” A week later, a behind the scenes footage from Biles’ rehearsal showed her having a heart-to-heart conversation with Inaba.

The latter clarified that she wasn’t offended by Biles’ comments and said that she was even happy that Biles said what was on her mind. “Let’s just clear the air, let’s talk about the elephant in the room. I loved your comment back to us. Just so you know, I want you to know that. That didn’t bother me at all, in fact, I loved it, because it was very honest of you,” she said.

Inaba went on to ask where Biles’ comment came from, and the athlete said that there was a time when she showed emotion during a competition and she received a bronze instead of a gold medal. Inaba reminded Biles that gymnastics and dance are two different things because the latter requires a dancer to show her feelings through her movements.

Meanwhile, Inaba assigned Biles and her pro partner, Sasha Farber, the jive for their performance on Monday, May 15 as part of the Judges’ Challenge. She also told Biles that she chose jive because she knows it will showcase the latter’s athleticism. “I have chosen jive for you, because jive is athletic, and I think, in your wheelhouse, but what I want to see on top of that, is emotion and depth. I want to see a little storytelling,” she said.

Towards the end of their conversation, Inaba and Biles danced together.

Additionally, Biles and Farber will also be performing a rumba routine to Demi Lovato’s hit song, “Skyscraper,” next week. Ariana Grande’s song, “Faith,” will be used by Biles and Farber for their jive routine.

In other news, Biles and her fellow “Dancing With the Stars” Season 24 contestant Normani Kordei recently played a game of “Never Have I Ever” on E! News. The two personalities responded to some questions regarding their pro partners, personal lives and more. For instance, both Biles and Kordei revealed that they have accidently hurt their respective partners during rehearsals.

Biles and Kordei also confessed to having crushes on the show. The former admitted that she finds pro dancer Gleb Savchenko attractive. Unfortunately, Kordei didn’t say which male dancer she has a crush on, but in last week’s episode, she said that she finds Bonner Bolton hot and good-looking.

Biles added that she mistakenly kissed Farber on the lips while they were practicing their dance. Kordei said that she never had that experience with her pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy. The professional gymnast also confirmed that she forgot some steps during her “Moana”-inspired performance on Disney night.

“Dancing With the Stars” Season 24 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
