The journalist captioned the photo: “My friend Nadine sent me this with the question: 'What would you do?' I mean, c’mon, do you have to ask?! I’d go as fast as I could! You? #stayhomestaysafe”

Arnold and Shriver share four children: Katherine Schwarzenegger, 30, Christina Schwarzenegger, 28, Patrick Schwarzenegger, 26, and Christopher Schwarzenegger, 22. Katherine was among those to comment on her mother’s social media post.

She wrote, “Omg mom,” to which Shriver wittily replied, “now you know what to get me for Mother’s Day !!”

However, it seems that many of the writer’s followers were on her side. Her post received over 45,800 likes at press time.

“I would jump from the window of my home straight into that empty backseat, fearless, life is now, life is full of risk, AND i owe myself living my BEST life,” one fan commented. “I would sing 'summertime' while i jump and then sit on the back of the car arms widespread, humming along. Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley also chimed in with “Same.” Shriver replied with a hand-clapping emoji.

Graham Bunn, the host of "Real Country" on USA Network, jokingly claimed to be the person sitting in the backseat of the photo.

“I’m slightly offended at who copped this photo bc had I known I would’ve leaned forward so I didn’t get cut out of the picture,” said Bunn, who also starred in “Bachelor In Paradise.” “I knew sitting in the back was gonna be a bad call @mariashriver lol”

Shriver added, “hop in” after his comment.

As the Los Angeles Times reports, the founder of The Women’s Alzheimers Movement and Arnold split after 25 years of marriage in 2011. The divorce occurred after the “Terminator” actor confessed to fathering a child, Joseph Baena, with one of their house workers more than 10 years prior.
