  • A report said Ashley Olsen and Louis Eisner wanted a simple wedding
  • The couple reportedly did not want to have a "huge" ceremony
  • They only invited their family and closest friends to the "small affair"

Ashley Olsen and artist Louis Eisner opted to have a wedding that's "perfect" for their taste and not a grand ceremony to impress other people.

"They never wanted a huge wedding," an unnamed source exclusively told People Sunday on the couple's decision to only have a "small affair" last month.

The fashion mogul, 35, and Eisner, 33, tied the knot in a private ceremony in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles on Dec. 28, 2022.

It was not a big celebration. But it was just right for the couple who only wanted their family and closest friends to be in attendance.

"She is very close with her family. Louis is very close with his family too, and they were in attendance as well. For them, it was a perfect celebration," the insider explained.

Among Olsen's family members who showed up to her wedding were her sisters — her twin Mary-Kate Olsen and younger sibling Elizabeth Olsen, 33.

As previously reported, the low-key affair was only attended by "50 people or so total." Details about the private ceremony were kept under wraps from the press.

The "New York Minute" star and the son of jewelry designer Lisa Eisner have been very discreet with their romantic life since they started dating in October 2017.

People was the first one to report on Ashley's engagement after the outlet spotted the actress-turned-fashion designer stepping out with her then-boyfriend in June 2019 with what appeared to be an engagement band. But Ashley never confirmed the news.

Throughout Ashley's relationship with Eisner, the two never went to official public events together. The only time they appeared on the red carpet as a couple was in September last year when they attended the celebration for Young Eisner Scholars, a nonprofit organized by Louis' father, Eric Eisner.

Speaking of their decision to live very private lives after growing up in the spotlight as child stars, the Olsen twins told i-D in June 2021 that they "were raised to be discreet people."

Ashley also explained the modest style of their fashion label, The Row, during the interview, saying, "We really didn't want to be in front of it. We didn't necessarily even want to let people know it was us, in a way."

She continued, "I mean, it was one of those things where it was really about the product, to the point where we're like, 'Who could we get to kind of front this so we don't have to?' I think, to this day, you'll see we really put the product first."
