Several automakers have issued vehicle recalls over the last few weeks that consumers need to be aware of. These recalls affect a number of cars, trucks, and SUVs that you could be currently driving and are in need of repairs for your safety.

Here’s a look at the most recent recalls impacting your vehicle.

BMW Recall

BMW of North America has recalled a number of vehicles for a safety issue that stems from a review camera issue.

When the vehicles are shifted into reverse, a small part of the rearview image may not be viewable, or the screen may not illuminate, violating the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Vehicles affected include BMW’s 2019 to 2021 X3 sDrive30i, X3 xDrive30i, X3 M40i, X3M, X4 xDrive30i, X4 M40i, M550i, X4M, X5 sDrive40i, X5 xDrive40i, X5 xDrive50i, X5M, X5 M50i, X7 xDrive40i, X7 xDrive50i, X7 M50i, Alpina XB7, 330i, 330i xDrive, M340i, M340i xDrive, and 8 Series Coupe, Convertible and Grand Coupe, 840i, 840i xDrive, M850i xDrive, M8, 2020-2021 530e, 530e xDrive, 330e, 330e xDrive, 745Le, 745Le xDrive, X5 xDrive45e, X3 xDrive30e, X6 sDrive40i, X6 xDrive40i, X6 xDrive50i, X6 M50i, X6M, 530i, 530i xDrive, 540i, 540i xDrive, M550i xDrive, M5, 740i, 740Li, 740Li xDrive, M760i Drive, M760Li xDrive, 750Li xDrive Alpina, Alpina B7 xDrive, and 2021 4 Series Coupe 430i, 430i xDrive, M440i xDrive models.

To remedy the issue, BMW dealers will inspect the rearview camera software and update it as necessary at no charge to the vehicle owner.

A total of 13,858 vehicles are affected by the recall.

Also being recalled by BMW are certain 2021 X5 sDrive40i and X5 xDrive40i vehicles, which may have the right front brake disc installed with the incorrect fasteners. This could lead to the front brake disc becoming loose over time.

To fix the issue, BMW dealers will inspect the right front brake disc and replace it if necessary free of charge. Dealers will also inspect and replace the unaffected left-side brake disc if required, BMW said.

A total of nine vehicles are affected by the recall.

In another recall from BMW, select 2020 to 2021 228i, 228i xDrive, and M235i xDrive vehicles were recalled over a sunroof issue.

According to the recall notice, if the driver initiates the automatic close function on the sunroof, the vehicle key status is changed to “off” or “lock,” the sunroof may continue to close, which is a violation of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

To repair the sunroof problem, BMW dealers will update the sunroof electronic coding software at no charge to the vehicle owner.

A total of 14,011 vehicles are affected by the recall.

Ford Recall

Ford has recalled a number of its F-Series trucks in two recalls. The first recall covers certain 2020 F-Super Duty F350 vehicles outfitted with a 6.7 L diesel engine, single rear wheels, 4X4 crew cab, long box, and a 12,000- or 12,400-pound gross vehicle weight rating.

The recall for the Super Duty trucks was issued because the trucks may have their payload capacities overstated on the tire loading information label and the accessory reserve capacity values on the safety certification label as well as on the truck camper loading document which could cause vehicle overloading.

To repair the labeling problem, Ford dealers will replace the tire and loading information label, safety certification label, and the truck camper loading document, if needed, free of charge

A total of 9,979 pickup trucks are affected by the recall.

In a second truck recall, Ford has recalled certain 2021 F-150 and 2020 to 2021 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty models because they may not have the windshield properly bonded to the vehicle, which could cause it to detach in a crash.

To fix the windshield issue, Ford dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield at no charge to the truck owner.

A total of 79,017 F-Series trucks are affected by the recall.

Ford has also recalled its 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles because they may have incorrect front lower control arms, which could increase the risk of a rollover crash.

To remedy the problem, Ford dealers will inspect and replace the front lower control arms, if necessary, free of charge.

A total of 106 vehicles are affected by the recall.

Also affecting its 2021 Bronco Sport is a Ford recall over the rear suspension subframe assembly that may have loose or missing bolts, which could increase the risk of a crash.

To fix the suspension issue, Ford dealers will inspect the rear suspension bolts, and secure or replace the bolts, as required, at no charge to the vehicle owner.

A total of 1,638 Bronco Sport vehicles are affected by the recall.

Ford has also recalled certain 2004 to 2006 Ranger trucks because they may be equipped with a driver or passenger frontal airbag inflator used as a replacement service part that may explode as a result of propellant degradation from long-term exposure to high humidity, temperature, and temperature cycling, which could result in death or injury if it explodes.

To fix the airbag issue, Ford dealers will inspect the driver and passenger airbag module and replace either the module or the inflator, if necessary, free of charge.

A total of 144,340 Ranger trucks are affected by the recall.

More airbag recalls were issued by Ford for certain 2005 to 2014 Mustang, 2004 to 2011 Ranger, 2009 to 2011 Mercury Milan, 2006 Ford GT, 2008 to 2012 Fusion, 2007 to 2010 Edge and Lincoln MKX, and 2009 to 2010 Lincoln MKZ vehicles.

Ford dealers will also inspect the driver and passenger airbag module and replace either the module or the inflator, if required, for free.

A total of 1,067 vehicles were affected by the recall

General Motors Recall

General Motors has issued a recall for several vehicles in its lineup over a tire issue.

According to the recall notice, the tires were cured for too long during production, which could cause a sudden air loss or belt edge separation, leading to tread loss. This could cause the vehicle operator to lose control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Affected vehicles and tires include GM’s 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019 to 2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires that were sold to the aftermarket for 2018 to 2021 vehicles.

To remedy the issue, GM dealers will inspect the tires and replace them at no charge.

A total of 33,838 vehicles are affected by the recall.

Lamborghini Recall

Lamborghini has issued a recall for select 2018 to 2021 Aventador SVJ Coupe vehicles, which may have loose hood hinge screws that could unlatch the hood during certain high-speed driving conditions.

To repair the problem, Lamborghini dealers will replace the hood hinge screws for free.

A total of 221 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Coupe vehicles are affected by the recall.

Land Rover Recall

Jaguar Land Rover North America recalled a series of vehicles because the Auto High Beam system does not indicate on the instrument cluster when the high beams are automatically illuminated, violating the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.

The recall affects certain 2018 to 2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, and Range Rover Velar vehicles

To remedy the problem, Jaguar Land Rover dealers will update the vehicle software free of charge.

The recall affects a total of 26,805 vehicles.

Mazda Recall

Mazda has issued a recall for certain 2020 to 2021 CX-30 vehicles that may have a liftgate issue. When fully opened, the power liftgate may partially lower unexpectedly when the vehicle is parked on an uphill slope, which could cause injury.

To fix the power liftgate problem, Mazda dealers will update the power liftgate control module software and also inspect the serial number of the power liftgate drive unit, where they will replace it free of charge, if required.

A total of 13,857 CX-30 vehicles are affected by the recall.

In another recall from Mazda, the automaker has recalled certain 2021 Mazda3 and CX-30 vehicles because air may suddenly leak from the tire air valve, which could cause a loss of vehicle control while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

To repair the leak, Mazda dealers will replace the four tire air valves with new parts for free.

A total of 599 vehicles are affected by the recall.

Mercedes-Benz Recall

Mercedes-Benz USA has recalled select GLA250 vehicles because the ground connection for the front passenger airbag may not be mounted properly. This could cause inadvertent deployment of the airbag, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

To repair the connection issue, Mercedes-Benz dealers will l inspect the ground connection for the passenger airbag and correct the mounting, if necessary, free of charge to the vehicle owner.

A total of 36 vehicles are affected by the recall.

Volkswagen Recall

Volkswagen Group of America has recalled a series of Audi vehicles because they may be missing a sealing pin, which could allow moisture to enter the engine control module connector. This could cause the ECM to malfunction, increasing the risk of a crash.

Vehicles impacted by the recall include certain 2019 to 2021 Audi A8 and 2020 to 2021 Audi S8 models.

To repair the issue, Audi dealers will inspect the ECM connector for the missing pin and install it, if necessary. The connector will also be inspected for corrosion and replaced as required free of charge.

A total of 238 vehicles are affected by the recall.
