While Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer Avicii died April 2018 his music lives on.

Avicii, whose original name is Tim Bergling, will have his last album released on June 6, it was announced Friday. Virgin EMI Records and the artist's estate said that it is releasing a new album, titled "TIM."

"He left behind a collection of nearly finished songs, along with notes, email conversations and text messages about the music," a note from "Team Avicii," read, which was released by the musician's representatives.

"The songwriters that Tim was collaborating with on this album have continued the process to get as close to his vision as possible."

Net proceeds from the album will benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation.

While the album will be released in June, the first single, "SOS," will be released on April 10.

Avicii died on April 20, 2018, in Muscat, Oman. The 28-year-old took his own life by cutting himself with a broken wine bottle.

Avicii's family released a statement about his passing.

"Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An over-achieving perfectionist who traveled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress," it read.

"When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most – music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace."
