A mother revealed on TikTok that her son was born with teeth, which left hospital staff stunned.

TikTok mother Jordan Bloss uploaded footage of her newborn son with several bottom teeth.

"When your baby is born with teeth and all the hospital staff is in disbelief [because] they've never seen this before," the video text read.

Bloss added in the comments section of her post that her newborn son is now 8 months old and has not developed any new teeth yet, In The Know by Yahoo reported.

"Crazy to think of him teething in my belly though!" she said.

As of this writing, the video has garnered 18.4 million views and 2.6 million likes on the popular video-hosting service.

According to Stanford Medicine Children's Health, "Natal teeth are teeth that are present when a baby is born. The teeth are often not fully developed and may have a weak root. Natal teeth are not common. They are not the same as neonatal teeth that erupt in the child's mouth during the first month of life."

The primary cause of natal teeth is still unknown.

Natal teeth are also relatively uncommon and found in 1 in 2,000 births, as stated in a study by Alexander K. C. Leung and William Lane M. Robson published in the Journal of the National Medical Association.

Some Tiktok users expressed their surprise in the comments section of Bloss' post, while others shared similar experiences.

"My son was born with teeth, [and] so was his sister. The odd one in our family is our son who wasn't born with a tooth," one person shared.

"Woah, this is interesting. Don't think I've heard of this happening before," another user also said.

"Whoa! I've never seen this before!" another wrote.

"My oldest was born with those 2 bottom teeth too," a viewer replied.

"My last two babies were teething before 6 months and my aunt thought I was crazy," another commented.
