“The Bachelorette” contestant Nick Viall is having a field day after episode 6. The highly anticipated “sex scene” between Nick and star Kaitlyn Bristowe finally aired Monday night – and Nick wants his feelings on the subject clear. The 34-year-old software sales executive took to Twitter to share his opinion on the controversial episode.

Fans of the ABC reality series knew that the “sex scene” between Kaitlyn and a contestant was coming up this season thanks to a promo video previewing the drama ahead. The moment aired during episode 6, revealing that Kaitlyn and Nick had sex after their romantic one-on-one date in Dublin. The following morning Kaitlyn told the cameras that she didn’t have guilt about having sex with Nick, however she did feel guilty because of the other relationships and close connections she developed since the start of the show. She further admitted that she was terrified of alienating her other suitors based on one mistake.

For those that didn’t watch “The Bachelorette,” episode 6 simply showed the door to Kaitlyn’s hotel bedroom. The mics were still on, letting fans listen to some talk (“I never want this to end,” “I want to know every part of you”), kissing and moaning. The scene has been one of the most controversial and talked about this season.

“I don’t think that’s a crazy thing to sleep with somebody when you’re trying to be in a relationship with them,” Kaitlyn told Entertainment Tonight at the end of May. “I’m a 30-year-old woman and I make my own decisions, and intimacy, to me, is part of a relationship. I don’t know why everyone is so shocked by it.”

Kaitlyn addressed the topic again on Monday with People magazine. “I know so many people can relate, but it’s so easy for them to judge at the same time,” she explained. She questioned whether or not people would have found it better if she waited 10 days to have sex with him in the Fantasy Suite and “not talk about it.”

Of course this isn’t the first controversy that Nick has been involved in regarding sex. As the runner-up last season on Andi Dorfman’s season of “The Bachelorette,” Nick revealed to the audience during the “After the Final Rose” special that he had slept with the star during the Fantasy Suite date

“I’m not sure why you made love to me,” he said to Andi, continuing that they did “fiancé type stuff.” Andi fired back at the time that his comment was “below the belt.”

“The Bachelorette” airs on ABC on Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT.
