She gets a lot of criticism about her life and her recent comments about life in the royal family being difficult for her. However, one other person who has seen their star rise in a relatively short time period is sticking up for Meghan Markle because they see a similarity between their lives.

Hannah Brown, who rose to fame after starring as the most recent “Bachelorette” on ABC and winning Season 28 of “Dancing With the Stars” revealed in an episode of ABC’s “The Year: 2019,” that after her own tumultuous year, she can relate to the Duchess of Sussex when it comes to her comments in an ITV documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.”

According to Us Weekly, the reality star specifically related to the comments about the negative media attention Markle received and her genuine gratitude over host Tom Bradby asking about her well-being.

“I’m not a royal or anything, but I kind of understood that, because when people watch you an are enamored and so obsessed, and think that they know you, but don’t really ask how you are, it feels really good when somebody does,” she said. “And that you’re able to have that conversation.”

Brown admitted that she sometimes feels the same way after receiving her own share of attention following her season, which saw her not only end her engagement to Jed Wyatt after it was revealed he had lied about his reasons for being on the show but miss out on a relationship with runner-up Tyler Cameron, who was spotted with supermodel Gigi Hadid not long after a date with Brown. She admitted that she felt Markle’s admitting to her own struggles revealed a more human side to her.

“Whether it’s with a microphone in your face or if it’s just a friend having coffee with you. It’s really nice for somebody to ask, ‘How are you? Are you OK?’” she said. “Even though she got criticism, which I think is ridiculous, people have to remember that she’s human and it’s OK to have human emotion and to express that. It doesn’t mean she’s ungrateful, it’s just being a real human and saying that sometimes life’s hard.”

Of course, while she may relate to how it feels to suffer from pitfalls of fame, Brown likely isn’t feeling the same heat Markle is getting currently. The Duchess and her husband, Prince Harry, have faced criticism after choosing to skip Christmas with the royal family, a decision they reportedly made in order to have a low-key holiday.
