Chad Johnson’s here to prove that his villainy isn’t restricted to the walls of the “Bachelorette” or “Bachelor In Paradise” mansion. The controversial ABC reality star recently pulled a fast one on one of Rachel Lindsay’s former suitors.

During an interview with ET Online, he revealed that he trademarked the word “whaboom,” coined by “Bachelorette” Season 13 star Lucas Yancey. Johnson said he tuned in to see just how far the comedian would go in the dating competition. When Yancey made it to episode 3, Johnson decided to buy the rights to the term and try to make a profit.

“I bought it, but when I told him about it and everything, he didn’t really get how it worked,” the notorious Bachelor Nation bad boy told ET. “Then I realized that by the time the trademark actually kicked in, it was like three or four months, he’d probably be off the show by then, and no one would care. I was like, ‘I’ll sell it to you, for double my money.’ I just got a refund. It hadn’t fully gone through. It was like $500.”

Johnson’s become the “Bachelorette” villain viewers love to hate, but his antics will no longer play out before the camera. After appearing in “Bachelor In Paradise” Season 3, the Oklahoma native’s decided not to come back for a second shot at finding love in Mexico. A partial cast list, released by the network on Tuesday, promises there will be no shortage of drama in Season 4, though — even in Johnson’s absence.

DeMario Jackson, Corinne Olympios, Taylor Nolan, Amanda Stanton and more have been confirmed as part of the “Bachelor In Paradise” 2017 cast. Bachelor Nation spoiler blogger Reality Steve reports that Astrid Loch, Danielle Lo, Iggy Rodriguez, Chase McNary, Jack Stone, Brady Ervin, Matt Munson, Alex Bardyukov and Dean Unglert will also appear on the show, though there’s been no confirmation of that.

The blogger’s also reported that not everyone on the cast is interested in finding love on the ABC reality show.Corinne, Alexis, Astrid, Whitney Fransway, and Kristina Schulman are thought to have boyfriends outside “Bachelor In Paradise.” Reality Steve claims the ladies have done little to hide their commitment to the men in their lives, which should made for an interesting dynamic in Season 4 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Everyone may not find love in Mexico this time around, but there will be at least one romantic moment on “Bachelor In Paradise.” According to Reality Steve, Carly Waddell and Evan Bass will tie the knot during a Season 4 episode. The pair met on the show and rumors have been swirling about a televised wedding ever since.

Johnson isn’t the only Bachelor Nation favorite skipping out on “Bachelor In Paradise.” Luke Pell, who got burned on “The Bachelorette” and then was overlooked for the Season 21 “Bachelor” position, told “Ben and Ashley: Almost Famous” hosts Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti that he wasn’t interested in appearing on the show. He claimed “Bachelor In Paradise” simply wasn’t a good fit.

“For me, it’s actually something I’m not interested in right now,” he said (via E! News). “Obviously, that’s been on the table for a lot of folks that are alumni for at least the last couple of seasons. Just for me, after some discussion, it just doesn’t feel right for me.”

“Bachelor In Paradise” is currently in production. The show premieres August 8 on ABC.
