There was no tension between Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. This was what Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough showed when they serenaded Lance Bass onstage.

On Saturday, Backstreet Boys surprised their fans at Planet Hollywood during their “Larger Than Life” residency show when they invited Bass, who was in the crowd, to join them onstage.

The Backstreet Boys shared a video of them serenading the NSYNC member with their song “Shape of my Heart” on Instagram. “We really showed @lancebass the shape of our hearts tonight. Thanks for coming by #BSBVegas, brother!” they wrote in the caption.

Bass was supposed to watch “Beauty and the Beast,” but he decided to go to Sin City instead to check out the Backstreet Boys’ show. He was seated in the VIP area with his husband, Michael Turchin, as well as Littrell and Richardson’s families, Entertainment Tonight reported.

McLean escorted Bass arm-in-arm to the main stage, where they serenaded him. McLean left the stage at one point to hand a red rose to a lucky audience member, while Bass remained and even sang along to the band’s hit song using Carter’s microphone. There were hugs and high-fives all around onstage after the performance.

On March 1, another NSYNC member, Joey Fatone, attended the opening night of Backstreet Boys’ “Larger Than Life” Las Vegas residency show. He was also given VIP treatment, and McLean brought him to the stage where the group also serenaded him with “Shape of my Heart.”

Fatone felt so happy that night that he kissed Carter on the lips, according to a video posted on the band's Instagram account. The group admitted that they treated their career "like a marriage," but stressed that they don’t have plans to kiss other boyband members, ET reported.

The Backstreet Boys’ next Vegas show is on April 12. Will another NSYNC member show up onstage? Who do you think is next among Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick? Drop a comment below.
