"Battlefield 1 Revolution" Edition might be announced at Gamescom 2017 on Aug. 22. Electronic Arts

A new edition of Electronic Arts’ “Battlefield 1” has been spotted thanks to a listing on Amazon’s French website. This new edition of the game is called “Battlefield 1 Revolution,” and it’s listed with an Aug. 22 release date.

“Battlefield 1 Revolution” appears to be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC and is listed with a €59.99 price tag. This edition apparently includes the game, the “Battlefield 1” Premium Pass with all four expansions and “more.”

So far, EA has only released one of the four expansions for “Battlefield 1” called They Shall Not Pass. This expansion adds the French Army into the game, along with four new maps, a new multiplayer game mode and a new faction.

The second expansion, titled In the Name of the Tsar, is scheduled for release in September and will have the Russian Army and the Russian’s 1st Women’s Battalion of Death. The third and fourth expansions, titled Turning Tides and Apocalypse, don’t have release dates yet, according to Dual Shockers.

The “Battlefield 1 Revolution” edition appears to be the most complete version of the game. The inclusion of the Premium Pass should mean that player will have access to 16 new multiplayer maps, 20 new weapons, 14 unique dog tags and 14 exclusive Battlepacks, as pointed out by GameZone.

EA hasn’t officially announced “Battlefield 1 Revolution” yet, so someone working for Amazon France may have listed it by accident. As of press time, the Amazon France webpage showing the “Battlefield 1 Revolution” Edition has already been taken down.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson did reveal during the company’s financial conference call that it would be revealing the “richest ‘Battlefield 1’ experience yet” during Gamescom 2017. This year’s Gamescom will be held at Cologne, Germany from Aug. 22 until Aug. 26.

The Amazon France webpage listed “Battlefield 1 Revolution” with an Aug. 22 release date — the very same date EA will have a presentation at Gamescom. The video game publisher is also expected to reveal a new competitive mode during its Gamescom 2017 presentation. This new mode is expected to be the company’s way of making “Battlefield 1” accessible to eSports players.

EA’s Gamescom 2017 presentation will be livestreamed through the company’s Twitch, YouTube and Facebook pages, similar to how it streamed its EA Play presentation during E3 2017.

In related news, it looks like EA will be releasing a new entry in the “Battlefield” franchise next year. During an investors call, the EA CEO mentioned that “the next great game in the ‘Battlefield’ franchise” will be released in 2018, according to Gameranx. Wilson also mentioned some of the upcoming EA games that are currently being developed using the Frostbite Engine. This includes the next “Battlefield” game.

No major details about the 2018 “Battlefield” game were given, but it could be the sixth installment in the main series. There’s also a possibility that the next game might be part of the “Bad Company” series, but that’s just speculation at this point.
