'Battlefield 2042' Beta Codes Reportedly Being Sent; Beta Test Announcement Imminent

Despite the delayed release of "Battlefield 2042," many gamers believe the Beta tests could happen very soon based on the game publisher's and vendor's recent activity.

Beta codes of DICE's upcoming game "Battlefield 2042" were reportedly sent to gamers who pre-ordered the game through Amazon. A post on Reddit claimed that the store has sent redeemable codes of the game's beta to PC and console gamers.

"This morning I was sent an email with my promotional code for my BF2042 order on Amazon. When I redeemed the code it showed that it was for Battlefield 2042 Early Access Beta," the Reddit user shared on Tuesday.

Battlefield 2042's Portal Mode will include assets from previous games, including the Bad Company series Electronic Arts

"It's odd they send it out now. I wonder if it could be happening this or next week since their product descriptions now says: 'Pre-Order Battlefield 2042 for PC by Sept. 23, 2021 to unlock early access to the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta.' Must be shipped and sold by Amazon. Codes will be sent within 24 hours of early access start date," the post added.

It was earlier rumored that "Battlefield 2042" Beta would go live on Sept. 22 for Early Access and Sept. 23 for Open Beta. There is a possibility that Amazon has forgotten to change the date since EA announced the game's delayed release just a few days ago.

DICE and EA have not yet announced the Beta schedule of the game, but according to Reddit user daniluk400, the actual open beta client has already been uploaded on EA's Origin. The user also shared the description, key art and other details on the beta client.

"Adapt and overcome in the near-future, all-out war of Battlefield™ 2042. Join the fight on Orbital with a diverse selection of Specialists, cutting-edge weaponry, and vehicles to choose from. Open Beta between September 22-25, 2021. Early access is available on September 22-23, 2021, 07:00 UTC, for all players who pre-order the game or are current EA Play members. Preload is available on Sept. 21, 2021, 06:00 UTC," the Beta client description read.

"Battlefield 2042" is now scheduled to release on Nov. 19 instead of Oct. 15. The gaming studio also revealed last week the game's Early Access was set on Nov. 12.
