A guest checked in and abruptly checked out of the Ritz-Carlton New York after finding a bedbug in her room.

She brought the blood sucker back to the front desk to make her point. The hotel then called in an extermination company, but not before dispatching Rosanna Polanco to clean the room, exposing her to the bug.

Polanco only found out about the bed bug infestation after the fact, when the exterminator came. She grew worried that she brought bedbugs back to her home unknowingly.

Ritz-Carlton management was said to have apologized for the incident and to have held training sessions on bedbugs for employees.
