After a recall for Vienna Beef’s beef frank links for metal contamination on Saturday, BEF Foods Inc. has recalled approximately 527 pounds of Bob Evans beef pasta that was produced without a federal inspection.

The recall affects ready-to-eat beef stroganoff pasta products labeled as Bob Evans Beef Stroganoff Pasta. The pasta was produced on May 3 and is packaged in an 18-ounce sealed plastic tray. It has a Use By date of 07/02/19 and has a time stamp, ranging from 15:00 and 18:37 on the tray seal.

The affected pasta products also have an establishment number of EST. M-46062 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recalled pasta was shipped to retail locations in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is urging consumers to check their refrigerators and freezers for the recalled pasta. Consumers should not consume the recalled pasta product. It should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Questions about the recall can be directed to BEF Foods, consumer relations at 1-800-939-2338.

The company has not received any reports of adverse reactions to the consumption of the recalled pasta. Consumers with concerns about consuming the affected pasta products should contact their healthcare provider.

BEF Foods discovered the issue when the FSIS reviewed its production records.
