Ben Affleck Heartbreakingly Hoped He, Jennifer Garner Could Get Back Together After He Cheated

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were married for several years before rumors about the latter cheating on the former surfaced.

Affleck was linked to his children’s nanny, Christine Ouzounian. But the “Argo” star has since denied the claims.

After the rumors swirled, Garner also refused to believe that Affleck cheated on her. In fact, it took her a few years to finalize her divorce from her husband.

A source told Us Weekly that if it were only up to Affleck, he wouldn’t even think about divorcing Garner. And a second source said that Garner didn’t also want a divorce that’s why she was never in a rush to file.

The main reason why Garner and Affleck wanted to stay together was because of their children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. While speaking with CBS “This Morning” four years ago, Affleck said that he and his ex-wife are focusing on their day-to-day lives. He also hinted at the possibility of getting back together with Garner.

“Each step that we take is one where we prioritize our children, and everything else comes second. She’s just so good at doing that and sets such a good example. And that’s the lead that I follow,” he said.

Affleck and Garner didn’t want to file for divorce immediately because they had little hope that their issues could be fixed. However, years passed and this hasn’t been the case. Garner and Affleck announced their separation in 2015. But their divorce documents were only filed in 2017.

Today, the former couple has stayed friends with each other. In fact, they were recently spotted hanging out at Seraphina’s soccer game in Los Angeles. At that time, Garner and Affleck were also joined by their 7-year-old son.

During the outing, the “Batman v Superman” star made headlines after he accidentally flashed his behind while squatting on the floor and chatting with his ex-wife and son.
