Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez had an uncomfortable encounter with an overzealous fan in Italy Saturday.

A day after they made their first red carpet appearance since getting back together at the Venice International Film Festival, Affleck, 49, and Lopez, 52, were seen holding hands as they walked through the Marco Polo Airport in Venice. However, one maskless fan got a little too close for comfort while attempting to take a selfie with the couple.

In photos obtained by Page Six, the "Justice League" star pushed away the unnamed man who approached them while holding up his camera. Meanwhile, Lopez stepped back to avoid the fan, who wore a navy T-shirt and khaki shorts.

Affleck and Lopez's personal bodyguard quickly stepped in, grabbed the fan's wrists and pushed him further away from the celebrity couple.

Once the path was cleared, the couple held hands once again and continued making their way through the airport. They kept their heads low to avoid eye contact.

Affleck and the "Hustlers" actress arrived in Venice together Friday for the premiere of Ridley Scott's "The Last Duel," which Affleck co-wrote and stars in with longtime pal Matt Damon.

Affleck and Lopez, who rekindled their romance in May, made their red carpet return at the Venice Film Festival, where the "Batman vs Superman" actor sported a black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo with a satin lapel and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Meanwhile, Lopez stunned in a white, mermaid-style Georges Hobeika gown with a deep V-neckline and a string of Swarovski crystal embellishments. She accessorized with a Cartier bracelet, earrings and ring featuring yellow diamonds. She completed the look with a silver clutch and Jimmy Choo heels.

Photos of the couple went viral after Lopez's stylist Mariel Haenn shared them on Instagram. A number of celebrities and fans of the duo gushed over their rekindled romance, including Affleck's ex Gwyneth Paltrow.

"Okay, this is cute," the Goop founder commented on Haenn's post.

Paltrow dated Affleck on and off from 1997 to 2000. They starred in two films together, "Shakespeare in Love" and "Bounce," during that time. They have remained friends following their split.
