Jennifer Garner remains supportive of ex Ben Affleck through his addiction.

Garner and Affleck split in 2015. Their divorce was finalized in October 2018. The exes remain amicable as they co-parent their three children Violet, 14, Seraphina, 10 and Samuel, 7.

An insider told Us Weekly that the ex-couple are still trying to make things work for their family as they continue to “co-parent and spend holidays together.”

The source said that Garner puts up with a lot and does everything she can to keep things together because she wants Affleck to be present in their kids’ lives. Also, this includes dealing with the things she isn’t happy about with her ex-husband. In fact, she remained supportive of him through his addiction.

“Ben has the utmost respect for Jen and how she’s supported him through his addiction,” the source added.

This isn’t the first time an insider spoke about Garner’s support for her ex-husband. A different source told Entertainment Tonight that the “Batman v Superman” actor was in a much healthier path and his relationship with Garner was better. In fact, their relationship was “doing amazingly well.”

“She’s really supportive of Ben, and when they parent the kids separately, they both share their stories of sweet moments they had with the kids that day. Their friends are always saying what a perfect example they are of dedicated parents who look past their own issues,” the source said.

Garner and Affleck were spotted together with their kids a day before Thanksgiving. They took their three children to cinema along with Affleck’s mom Christine Anne Boldt. The exes have always made it a priority to spend holidays as a family.

However, a day after Thanksgiving, they were spotted having a tense conversation outside Garner’s home. Later that day, the “Peppermint” actress was seen driving Affleck to a remote hotel near Santa Barbara.

Despite their argument, Affleck and Garner put on a united front the following day when they attended a Sunday church service at the Pacific Palisades together. They arrived in the same car with Affleck seated beside Garner in the passenger’s seat.

On the said day, their daughter Violet celebrated her 14th birthday. However, her younger sister Seraphina was noticeably missing.
