Ben Affleck was never planning to cast Shauna Sexton in his upcoming movie “Torrance” despite reports.

Gossipcop debunked the rumor which was originally published by Star magazine. It claimed the actor was “still seeing Playboy Playmate and was actually this close to asking producers of his next movie to find the bombshell a part.” The original report then connects the claim to the movie “Torrence” which is about “an alcoholic who loses his wife because of his drinking.”

“Ben had second thoughts about casting Shauna.” Affleck’s ex Jennifer Garner “would have hit the roof” if Sexton was part of the film, an unidentified anonymous source tells the magazine.

Gossip Cop completely debunked the claim and pointed out how Affleck and Sexton split up not long after he left rehab, which means he is not “still seeing” her as the magazine claimed. It also said the magazine was wrong in saying that Affleck would have to actually ask the producers to cast Sexton because he himself was one of the producers of “Torrance.”

Gossip Cop added that Affleck never contemplated casting Sexton, a brief fling of his, in the film since she had never acted in a movie before.

Though the magazine offers a brief description of the plot of the film, it did not give information regarding the role Affleck was supposedly thinking of casting Sexton in, Gossip Cop noted. A friend of the actor confirmed the claims made by the magazine were not true and “foolish.”

A report in Elle on Oct. 9 said the 46-year-old actor ended his fling with the 22-year-old playboy model, which lasted throughout his 40 days at an in-patient rehab treatment center. “There was nothing to split from as it has been casual,” a friend of Affleck told People.

“He enjoyed being with her but is working on himself, and being together with her at this time is not something that works,” the friend said. “He will date in the future, but for now his focus is on his sobriety, family and his next project.”

“The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans mean more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others,” Affleck later said in a statement on his Instagram. “Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family.”
