Ben Affleck was not moving back into Jennifer Garner’s guesthouse following his recent stint in rehab, despite rumors. Gossip Cop debunked reports stating Affleck has taken this step in order to focus on his sobriety and be present for their children.

According to OK! Affleck was moving into the guesthouse of his ex-wife’s Los Angeles home as there were too many temptations at his home.

The magazine quoted an insider saying, “The plan is for him to return to the property around the holidays. She can keep a better eye on him this way. There are just too many temptations at his own house.”

The actor checked out of the rehab last week and if Garner wanted to keep an eye of him, she wouldn’t have waited for the holidays. The story was only based on claims from an anonymous source and does not explain why he wouldn’t move into the guesthouse immediately.

Affleck stayed in the guesthouse for nearly two years after they separated and moved out in April last year. He also purchased a property in the same neighborhood.

Gossip Cop checked with Affleck’s representative who on the record denied the rumors and said the actor had no plans to live in Garner’s guesthouse again.

“This week I completed a forty day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction and remain in outpatient care. Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment,” Affleck, who checked out of the rehab last week after voluntarily checking himself in for treatment, late August, said in an Instagram post Thursday.

“The support I have received from my family, colleagues, and and means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others. It helps to know I am not alone. As I’ve had to remind myself, if you have a problem, getting help is a sign of courage, not weakness or failure…I hope down the road I can offer an example to others who are struggling,” Affleck wrote.

A source close to Entertainment Tonight, however, said the actor will “continue to work with a sober coach, attend therapy and meditation classes.'”

In August, Gossip Cop had debunked another report in the magazine that falsely claimed Affleck and Garner were back together after a supposed “marriage and rehab ultimatum.” The magazine claimed Garner had decided to give the marriage a second shot. It quoted a source saying, “She promised him if he gets sober they’ll renew their vows in a private, yet romantic, ceremony and become a family again.”

However, the ex-spouses finalized their divorce as soon as he left his treatment facility last week.
