It was a night of recognition as some of the most talented stars in film and television came together at the EE British Academy Film Awards. Before the celebs headed into the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday evening, they hit the 2020 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards red carpet.

While some of the celebrities were praised for their style choices and skills in front of the camera, others couldn’t avoid fashion fails on the red carpet.

One of the best-dressed guests of the night was none other than the UK’s own Kate Middleton. Although the Duchess of Cambridge re-wore her white-and-gold Alexander McQueen gown from the 2012 royal tour of Malaysia, she still looked like the bell of the ball.

When Kate first wore the dress, it featured sheer sleeves. However, when she arrived at the BAFTAs red carpet, the dress was accented with lined sleeves.

Meanwhile, Rooney Mara failed to pull off a voluminous black Givenchy Haute Couture gown. The dress featured a full skirt and oversized ruffled top that was too dramatic to make a positive fashion statement.

It didn’t help that “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” star styled her hair in a school girl updo that was held together with a black ribbon.

Although Mara’s attire was disappointing, “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke effortlessly nailed the little back dress look. The “Last Christmas” actress looked elegant in her Schiaparelli Haute Couture featuring a low-cut neckline and sequins.
