Beyonce has sent Meghan Markle a big birthday shout-out for her 40th birthday. Queen Bey paid tribute to the Duchess of Sussex Wednesday, by posting on her website a childhood photo of Meghan, expressing well wishes for the "Suits" actress.

Happy Birthday Meghan Markle,” the post read. The photo showed a young Meghan wearing a blue dress and a matching flower headband.

This is not the first time Beyonce went public with her admiration for Meghan. At the 2019 Brit Awards, she and her husband Jay-Z recreated their music video for “APES” as they accepted their award for Best International Group via video message. Instead of posing in front of Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous painting “Mona Lisa,” they posed in front of a regal portrait of Meghan donning a brilliant crown and elegant pearls.

Beyonce and Meghan also came face to face in July of that year during the premiere of “The Lion King” remake in London. During the event, Beyonce was photographed leaning in to hug the Duchess of Sussex on the red carpet, calling her “My Princess.”

At that time Beyonce, Jay-Z, Meghan, and Prince Harry talked about parenthood on the red carpet, ET reported. A source told the outlet that during the epic meet-and-greet, Jay-Z gave the then-new mom and dad a piece of parenting advice saying, “The best advice I can give you: always find some time for yourself.”

Beyonce posted on her website one of the photos from the same event back in March, just shortly after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey trended worldwide.

“Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership,” she wrote. “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

Beyonce’s message was in response to Meghan’s explosive revelations about her life in the U.K. before stepping down from her royal duties in 2020. During the interview, Meghan told Oprah about the racism and isolation she had experienced inside the Palace and how the royal family had not done anything to protect her from the attacks of the British press.
