B&H Photo has revealed the new GoPro Hero7 models which were supposed to be officially announced by GoPro sometime later today. The GoPro Hero7 lineup includes three action camera models: Black, Silver and White.

The GoPro Hero7 Black is the flagship model among the three and it is capable of streaming live video, according to The Verge. The action camera comes with a 12-megapixel sensor and is able to shoot videos with 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The Hero7 Black also comes with GoPro’s HyperSmooth digital image stabilization, which the company claims is able to provide video stabilization that’s similar to having a gimbal.

The Hero7 Black is also capable of shooting 120fps slow motion videos at 2.5K resolution and 240fps slow motion videos at 1080p full HD. The action camera is also capable of taking vertical portrait mode photos and videos, which should be great for sharing on social media. There’s also a SuperPhoto Auto HDR photo enhancement feature for taking better images.

GoPro’s signature voice control feature makes a return and the Hero7 Black also has face, smile and scene detection. What remains a myster, however, is a feature called TimeWarp. Engadget speculates that the new feature on the Hero7 might actually be for some type of timelapse-based software.

The Hero7 Silver model takes it down a notch by having a 10-megapixel sensor and with a maximum of 4K video recording at 30fps. It is also capable of recording videos at 1440p at 60fps and 1080p at 60fps. Unlike the Black mode, the Silver comes with a traditional optical image stabilization. Vertical portrait mode, voice control, and time-lapse capture is also supported on the Hero7 Silver.

The Hero7 White model is the entry-level variant of the GoPro Hero7. It is only capable of capturing 1080p Full HD videos at 60fps and is able to take 10-megapixel photos. It still has traditional video stabilization and it comes with most of the same fancy features found on the Hero7 Silver, like vertical portrait mode, voice control and lime-lapse capture.

All three models of the new GoPro Hero7 are waterproof up to 33 feet of water without a housing. The new cameras also feature 2-inch LCD touchscreens on the back, which should make the user experience easier to follow. Unfortunately, B&H Photo’s press release didn’t provide any information on pricing and availability for the new GoPro Hero7 action cameras. It’s very likely that those details will be announced later by GoPro.
